About the role
DFDS is driving forward its digital transformation, focusing on enhancing the entire digital customer journey within our Passenger & Customer Engagement business. As our new QA & Test Specialist, you’ll join a dynamic, cross-functional scrum team.While collaborating with developers, designers, and the current QA, you'll help establish a robust test strategy for the newly formed team.
You'll play a crucial role in ensuring our digital products not only meet but exceed user expectations, contributing to the seamless integration of a new visual identity and a scalable design system. Working across our website, design system, and the infrastructure supporting frontend development, you'll ensure consistency, quality, and scalability in all projects using these.
In our agile environment, you won’t just ensure we’re building the code right; you’ll advocate the cause of building the right code. From specification to release, you’ll be part of the entire process.Across T&I and the Passenger & Customer Engagement Tribe, you’ll collaborate closely with existing QA & Test Specialists to automate applications and drive agile testing. We follow a heuristic approach—testing isn’t just about verification; it’s about falsification - it is not about checking if it works but testing if it fails.
What kind of exciting challenges can you expect to meet in this role?- You’ll collaborate closely with front-end developers and designers to deliver seamless, high-quality user experiences across customer-facing web development.
- You'll work with the team to develop and decide test strategies that align with our business objectives.
- You'll be actively involved in test execution, including functional and (automatic) regression testing, ensuring software functionality.
- Identify and track defects, working closely with existing QA & Test Specialists in the tribe to ensure timely resolution across teams.

- Proven experience in test automation.
- A strong testing mindset: curious, analytical, and business-oriented, with the ability to think from a user's perspective.
- Self-driven with a focus on identifying and pursuing process and solution improvements.
- Passion for delivering high-quality software solutions through rigorous testing and automation.
- Proficiency with development tools such as Azure Dev Ops.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies and methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of automated testing, combined with a sharp eye for detail, which will help drive the continuous improvement of our systems, ensuring they scale smoothly without compromising quality.
