C&E Customer Review Business Analyst 4 Months Contract

Detailed description of work task to be carried out:

• Investigations of Nordea customers to identify potential circumvention and evasion (C&E) risk.
• The end-to-end process will include investigations into the customer, conducting transactional and counterparty analysis, to identify beneficial owners, adverse media, direct or indirect connections to Russia, and outlining C&E assessments for each customer.
• In the event assessments are inconclusive, the investigator drafts Requests for Information (RFIs) to be sent to the customer, enquiring into the transactions/counterparties/changed business activity, and this work involves working with Business Areas to coordinate questions, and detailed reviews of RFI responses.

Description of knowledge and experience:

• Skilled in conducting complex investigations, specialising in transactions, customer–counterparty analysis, reviews of corporate records and adverse media.
• Also deep understanding of the relevant and applicable sanctions regimes, understanding activity that may be prohibited, and identifying activity that may be in breach of sanctions regulations.
• (While not required, fluency in local language(s) - Norwegian, Swedish, Danish or Finnish, is also an additional benefit which may prove useful in assessment of customer RFI responses).
• Familiarity and experience with Orbis and Dow Jones is also beneficial, and would be expected from an investigator experienced in conducting complex customer-counterparty investigations.
