Part time data management assistant for the Project Support Team - DTU Wind

At DTU Wind and Energy Systems, you will get close to researchers and experts working on innovative solutions for the green transition. The position is part of our Project Support team, which is the anchor for the institute’s overall research project portfolio.
The job
You will become a central part of a team of 8 skilled colleagues who support the institute’s researchers with applications for external research funding and assist them administratively when the projects are granted. We manage a portfolio of approximately 250 active projects and about 200 applications annually, so there is always something exciting to work on! The job description is:
- Assist in the collection, organization, and maintenance of data from various sources and help improve our database management architecture.
- Maintain data reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Support the automation of workflows and processes using Power Automate.
- Perform data quality checks and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement data management best practices.
- Provide support for ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests.
- Assist in the documentation of data management processes and procedures.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting, and automation.
Our expectations of you- We imagine that you are currently enrolled in a bachelor or master's program in Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Have a strong understanding of database architecture and management principles/practices.
- Have proficiency in Excel.
- Have an interest in or knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps. Also, familiarity with Oracle and Azure DBs is a plus.
- Have experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
- Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Have basic knowledge of SQL and database management.
- You are proficient in English

Salary and appointment terms
Salary and employment terms in accordance with the OAO-S Joint Agreement and the organization agreement for IT employees (Prosa) in the service of the state.
Working hours are on average 15 hours per week and can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc. Starting date is as soon as possible. The employment is for a period of 1 year.
The workplace is DTU Risø Campus, located in Roskilde.
