The Position

As Project manager within water, you will not only be to support PSQIT Sustainability but also more broadly across Novo Nordisk, as you will work together with our productions, our facility management and the local utilities to reduce our relative impact on water.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for:

  • Develop standards for water savings in production and at sites with focus on water recycling and optimization of water treatment processes (across multiple productions).
  • Support implementation of standards and share and support coordination of best practices across PSQIT.
  • Develop water supply risk mitigation plan for all production sites and secure anchoring on site level
  • Create a water resilience plan for production sites in close collaboration with the local utilities that covers all possible water sources to ensure production security from a sustainable perspective.
  • Lead and participate in environmental projects related to e.g., process standardization, water savings, Water-Nature related initiatives etc.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A relevant academic education (M.Sc. or PhD) in climate change, sustainability, engineering or nature sciences, combined with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Project Manager with cross-functional reach and high complexity, including significant exposure to collaboration with external parties and management.
  • Proven track record of working within water treatment technologies as well as requirement to documentation of water quality
  • Preferable insight to pharmaceutical production and process knowledge incl. regulatory processes
  • Significant knowledge of water flow, impact on nature and link to biodiversity and Insights into the circular economy and an understanding of sustainability requirements and opportunities
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to share recommendations with senior management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, as well as a working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and dashboards.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
On a personal level, you have a high degree of integrity and can structure and prioritize your work independently, while at the same time collaborating with your colleagues. You have excellent stakeholder management skills and enjoy building long-lasting relations across the network.

About the department

In PSQIT Sustainability we are currently app 50 employees and still growing. We are anchored in Strategy & Sustainability located in Bagsværd at our HQ offices, a part of Product Supply Quality and IT (PSQIT) which is a modern technology organization that practically drives the purpose of Novo Nordisk and delivers the highest quality to patients efficiently and sustainably.

In PSQIT Sustainability we focus on environmental sustainability and translate our corporate strategy into concrete actions. We are committed to building innovative, sustainable & compliant solutions for production, products, and supply across PSQIT.

Anchored within the Project Office, you will quickly become a valued and integral part of a dynamic team. We are 12 people responsible for driving sustainability programs and projects, supporting our corporate environmental strategy called Circular for Zero (C4Z).
