On behalf of one of our clients in the pharmaceutical industry, emagine is currently seeking a Data Engineer for Lab Operations with extensive experience with Oracle and Mongo DB.

Job Description

In this position, you will be part of a product team responsible for helping scientists with access, integration, analysis and visualization of data generated in our client´s scientific labs as well as storage of processed data together with enriched analytics of meta data.

Key responsibilites includes:

• optimizing the performance of Oracle views.
• defining robust and scalable data models in Oracle and Mongo DB, and developing efficient ETL processes to integrate various data sources seamlessly.
• Maintain data pipelines to ensure continuous, accurate data flow from lab instruments to storage systems, facilitating integration with other enterprise systems and external sources.
• This role requires hands-on expertise in Oracle, Postgre SQL, and Mongo DB, advanced SQL skills, and experience with ETL tools and scripting languages like Python or Shell for automation.

• Extensive experience with Oracle and Mongo DB (document DB).
• Proficiency in optimizing database performance and managing large datasets.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling principles and best practices.
• Ability to design robust, scalable, and efficient data models across multiple database platforms.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools and frameworks.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain data pipelines for continuous data flow.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL for querying, data manipulation, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Shell for automation tasks.
• Experience in developing data visualization tools and dashboards.
