As a Project Manager for GomSpace, you will be able to make an impact in the world of space innovation, driving high-tech satellite projects together with a broad field of technical specialiststhe jobIn the role of Project Manager at GomSpace, you will get the opportunity to drive exciting and high-tech satellite projects for a portfolio of interesting international clients.
This means that you will engage with a broad variety of tasks, handling and planning both technical, communicative, and financial aspects. You will get the chance to manage projects from the contract signature to when the satellite is commissioned.The projects will span over 1 to 3 years, and you will use your skill set to do strategic planning and align with the client, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely delivery.You will get the chance to work closely with various specialists from the many fields of work that go into developing tech for space missions. These include disciplines such as systems and software, assembly and integration, hardware, mechanics, electronics, and manufacturing.
In managing your projects, you will also take charge of budget and resource planning and make project status reports according to the GomSpace Project Model. You will utilize your problem solving mindset to find solutions if the project scope changes, and make sure milestones are accommodated so that both GomSpace and its clients accomplish their goals.key responsibilities• Manage satellite projects from start to finish• Collaborate with a team of professionals from different engineering disciplines• Ensure timely delivery and quality of the project• Engage in both internal and external stakeholder management• Handle budget plans and invoicing• Full responsibility of the project financial management• Be the face of the company towards the customer• Collaborate with GomSpace product development, manufacturing, and procurementabout youWe are interested in candidates with different levels of experience, but expect you to have minimum 2-3 years of experience in a relevant field.Your experience should be with project management of technical projects in a relevant technical field.
An engineering background in e.g. electronics, systems, software or similar will be a clear advantage in mastering the position as project manager.Your mindset and personality will also be an important factor to fit well with the job.
