(Senior) Utility and Maintenance Engineer

The Position
You will be a part of the department’s Black Utility team and will have a varied workday. You will be supporter on the cooling systems, consisting of both cooling towers and CO2/NH3 cooling compressors. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the daily operation of our equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency and resource utilization.
Your main tasks will be:
- Monitor daily operation of our cooling systems and carry out modifications, upgrades, and renovations.
- Establish and/or modify existing QRMs, maintenance plans, BoM etc. to ensure maximum uptime, accessible spare parts and lower the number of unpredictable breakdowns.
- Participate in safety- and risk workshops and ensure to implement the learnings.
- Conduct systematic problem solving in case of breakdowns; Problem point of cause, containment, investigation and corrective actions (LEAN-mindset).
- Utilize data for continuous improvement of equipment efficiency.
It is an advantage if you are not scared of getting your hands dirty.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:
- An educational background as mechanical engineer, marine engineer (Maskinmester) or similar.
- Some years of experience with operation and maintenance of technical equipment, preferably as responsible.
- The ability to use tools for assessing maintenance and preferably familiarity with SAP.
- Experience working with design of equipment, including validation and qualification.
- Proven track record of successful stakeholder management across disciplines and professional boundaries.
- Proficiency in Danish and English, both spoken and written, at a professional level.

About the Department
The department of M2 Fermentation produces up to fifty percent of the total human insulin coming out of Novo Nordisk. As part of the Black Utility team within the department, our responsibility is the Black Utility equipment in relation to the production facilities, being cooling systems, HVAC systems and process ammonia systems.The team currently consists of 15 employees being engineers, Marine Engineers, Technicians, Administratives and Skilled Workers, who are working closely with other disciplines to succeed.
