Senior Platform Strategy Consultant 6 Months Contract

A major Core Technology Transformation initiative is currently in progress, focused on defining a foundational platform architecture and rolling it out in a structured, phased manner across the organization.

The aim is to elevate and align practices for Platform Owners, Providers, and Tenants in accordance with recognized industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the Lead Driver and Manager of the platform governance initiative, supported by an executive sponsor.
• Leverage existing content and processes, conduct interviews with internal SMEs, and develop a robust framework or model for platform management.
• Define high-level, efficient ways of working for all key roles involved in platform delivery and governance.
• Share knowledge on platform risk and audit considerations.
• Act as a liaison to a concurrent initiative focused on platform compliance.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Expertise in Platform Management with a solid background in architecture or full-stack engineering.
• Knowledge of techniques, methods, frameworks, and models relevant to maturing platform management capabilities, especially in financial or regulated environments.
• Experience in complex, matrixed organizations with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver executive-level presentations.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and related tools.
• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in banking, financial services, or comparable regulated industries, with focus on technology strategy, ways of working, compliance, risk, and audit.
• Strong technical strategy knowledge in multi-tenant platforms and infrastructure applications.
