Product Owner – Vessel T&I

About the role
This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the evolution of our fleet's technology infrastructure and play a pivotal role in DFDS's journey toward greener, smarter, and more connected operations. In this role, you’ll help us stay at the forefront of maritime innovation, delivering exceptional support to our vessels and promoting sustainable operational practices.
As our new Product Owner, your responsibility will be to oversee the deployment, maintenance, and support of technology solutions across our fleet, ensuring our vessels are equipped with reliable, up-to-date systems. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining robust connectivity between vessels and terminals, ensuring uninterrupted communication and real-time data sharing to enhance operational control. Besides this you will also:
- Operational Efficiency & Sustainability: Collaborate with operations and technical teams to implement technologies that reduce fuel consumption and emissions, aligning with DFDS’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between vessel teams, terminals, and other T&I teams, driving a collaborative approach to improve technology solutions and solve operational challenges.
Your role In DFDS will also involve working with business stakeholders and end users to develop key performance metrics and feedback loops, tracking the effectiveness of technological implementations with a focus on optimizing uptime, safety, and sustainability.
About you

However, to be considered for the position, we expect that you have professional experience with the following:
- Product Ownership Experience: Expertise in technology infrastructure, Io T, or connectivity solutions, ideally with exposure to maritime or fleet-based environments.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of vessel technology, connectivity solutions, and operational support to ensure high service quality and real-time data and communications access.
- Sustainability Focus: Proven experience in implementing sustainable technologies or processes to optimize resource efficiency and minimize emissions.
- Project Management Skills: Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement abilities, with effective communication across technical and operational teams.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to develop and track metrics that demonstrate value and impact.
