About the position
Vattenfall is looking for a Key Account Manager within the Business Area Customers & Solutions, Industrial Production Clients. The company has established a leading position in Sweden, Finland, and Denmark within the client segment.Your role as Key Account Manager focuses on further strengthening Vattenfall’s position as the partner of choice for our clients. Sustainability in electricity supply is a key differentiator for Industrial Production clients in both the short and long term.
Vattenfall is in a phase of building up an even stronger customer platform in Denmark, and you will be an important part of this work together with the existing sales team.The team includes thirteen Key Account Managers in Sweden, Finland, and Denmark. The position reports to the Sales Manager and Head of Industrial Production Clients Nordic.
The main responsibility for the Key Account Manager is to develop long-term profitable sales business and customer loyalty within the Nordic Industrial Production client base. The overall goal is to manage client accounts by identifying and mapping customer needs, offering suitable products, negotiating contracts, closing deals, and, most importantly, managing and developing the customer relationship.
You will establish strategic partnerships with customers to further improve sustainability and reduce environmental footprints.
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate has a degree in Business Administration, Science, Finance, or equivalent. However, the right personality and experience are crucial for this position. You are fluent in Danish and English, as Vattenfall is an international company.
To be successful as the Key Account Manager, you will possess:
- Strong and demonstrated business acumen
- Documented experience in the energy commodity business and B2B sales, or industries with complex instruments such as insurance or finance
- Genuine personal interest in customers and their respective industry challenges
- Highly motivated to create the best value for our customers, cooperate in a high-performance organization, and be a decisive part in shaping the future
- Self-driven, proactive, and enjoy working independently as well as in a team
Creative thinking and solution orientation, with a drive to continuously develop and improve, are required.
Being a cross-border team, we apply a large degree of flexible work conditions — online, working from home, etc. — but you will be based at our office in Copenhagen.
