As a Technical Advisor, you’ll play a crucial role in facilitating technical knowledge sharing between MAN ES employees worldwide. Through the editing of specialized technical content, you will contribute to the development of a knowledge-sharing and support tool that bridges technical expertise between Product Centers and global MAN ES workshops, providing better and faster service to customers.

You will play an important role in:

  • Coordinating and supervising the editor team (around 3 people in different locations)
  • Creating and updating troubleshooting content in a Content Management System (CMS) based on regular exchanges with specialists and user feedback
  • Defining rules and guidelines for content creation
  • Managing metadata
  • Being accountable for the testing and validation process
  • Checking content delivery in the frontend system
  • Reporting problems with the CMS & content delivery platform
  • Identifying and prioritizing missing content
We imagine that you:
There are multiple pathways to success in this role, but we expect you to have work experience as a Marine Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or similar. An understanding of the technical details of 4-stroke engines (propulsion and genset) and the support systems around them is preferable.

It is essential to thrive in a role where understanding, translating, and simplifying complex technical knowledge is crucial, as you will have extensive contact within the company (Technical Documentation, Prime Serv, Technical Service, R&D, Operation and Engineering).

In addition, it will be beneficial to have the following skills:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Team-oriented and outgoing – as you will have wide internal contact with diverse and cross-functional teams across MAN ES, strong networking skills are a must
  • Energetic and persistent – you are able to motivate and retain your colleagues through open dialogues, demonstrating understanding of the diverse product portfolio within MAN ES DK

When joining our team, we will ensure you are properly trained in using MAN ES tools, and onboard into not only the department you will be working in, but also the local technical departments in Frederikshavn, Holeby and Copenhagen.

During the onboarding, you will work closely together with our Project Manager from Augsburg, the Change Manager from Copenhagen and the Technical Editors, in particular the one located in Copenhagen, to ensure a good and stable onboarding to the project.

In the team we have a strong focus on personal development and team development. We like to seek new knowledge, this by attending courses, but also in sharing other experiences and sharing this knowledge within the team, to ensure team development.
