Do you want to develop your legal and personal skills by supporting one of the largest foundations globally? Now you have the unique opportunity to become a Student Assistant in the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s Legal Department and learn from the best in the field.

The Job

You will be part of a dynamic and highly skilled Legal Department covering Legal, Compliance, Board Secretariat and IP consisting of 12 dedicated employees, hereof six experienced lawyers which you will primarily assist.

As a Legal Student Assistant, you will assist with day-to-day matters, including but not limited to, contractual matters, grant-giving activities, legal research, and ensuring the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s compliance with both internal guidelines and legislation applicable to foundations.

You will also assist the Board Secretariat with matters relating to the Board of Directors and good governance. This includes preparing Board meeting materials, ensuring the quality control of documents, and managing the submission process.

The working hours will be approximately 15-20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate your studies.

Professional and Personal Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Is in the 3rd year of a bachelor’s degree or has just started a master’s degree within Law or Business Administration and Commercial Law.
  • Is motivated by working in a purpose-driven foundation with the objective of improving people’s health and the sustainability of society and the planet.
  • Has interest in getting experience within a broad spectrum of legal fields from an inhouse legal perspective.
  • Is service-minded and open to a wide variety of job tasks.
  • Has interest in getting a unique opportunity to be close to the operations of a highly professional team.
  • Is proficient in English and Danish both spoken and written.
  • Possesses IT literacy skills, including with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Is analytical and detail-oriented, while maintaining an overview of the bigger goals.
  • Is highly self-motivated, independent, and committed to delivering high-quality results.
  • Has a collaborative mindset and contributes to a positive and social working environment.
