We are seeking a passionate Student Assistant to join our growing team. As a member of the Ascendis Pharma Global IT team, you will play a crucial role in developing our internal processes and procurement activities. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results.

You will be joining the Global IT Services & Procurement Organization and work closely with devoted colleagues within the organization, who all share the overall goal of developing and bringing new innovative medicines to patients.

You will be based in our headquarters in Hellerup, reporting directly to Christian Veggerby Wittrup, Associate Director, who is also based in our headquarters in Hellerup.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Assisting procurement and contract processes
  • Ensuring oversight of IT Contracts (licenses- and framework agreements)
  • Managing contracts, work orders and agreements for both projects and maintenance
  • Participate in establishing a methodology/governance structure for vendor agreements
  • Ensuring collaboration between various stakeholders in Global IT
  • Participate in mapping how we work in Global IT and work towards improving our practices
  • Support Global IT’s transformation - Supporting, developing, and aligning tasks across the teams in Global IT
  • Support and assist Global IT within Ad hoc tasks

Qualifications and Skills:

Ideally, you are starting your third year of your Bachelor studies or the first year of your Master's studies in the fields of Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Business Administration, Commercial Law or something completely different.

Most importantly, you have a passion to develop new processes, which optimize strong business acumen and ensure improved structure in current ways of working.

Furthermore, you have:

  • Ability to keep an overview of many tasks at once
  • Excel – able to make graphs, functions, and pivot tables
  • PowerPoint – structure presentations, do layout, design, and diagrams
  • Able to write concisely and persuasively
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Communication skills
  • Business Acumen

You work independently and can run with a task with little supervision. You are a self-starter and learn at a quick pace. You are a doer and not afraid to learn from your mistakes. You meet any task with the same energy, regardless of how interesting it is for you personally.

To succeed in this role, we also expect you to be:

  • Able to juggle several tasks at once
  • Able to write concisely and persuasively (in English)

Hours: 15-20 hours per week. We want you to be able to balance your studies and work responsibilities and therefore offer flexibility during your exam periods.
