Assembly technician

Job Summary:

UMAG Solutions is looking for driven technicians to assist in the production of our lightweight drone magnetic detection systems.

You must be eligible for a Danish security clearance in order to hold this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manufacturing, Assembly, and Quality Control: Assemble and manufacture UMAG’s drone magnetic payloads, ensuring high-quality standards and precise adherence to design specifications.
• Material Proficiency: Skilled in handling carbon fibre and polymer materials
• Tools Proficiency: Skilled in operating tools and machinery for lightweight production, including 3D printers, CNCs, drills, wrenches, and other hand and power tools.
• Servicing and Maintenance: Conduct servicing and maintenance of existing detector payloads. Maintenance of the production tools such as 3D printers and CNC machines.
• Production Optimization: Actively engage in optimizing production processes and managing the production environment to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the production and design teams to achieve production goals and meet deadlines, contributing to a collaborative and goal-oriented work environment.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet the company’s high-quality standards by identifying sub-optimal processes, and effectuating improvements, in the production process.
• Inventory Management: Aid in managing the inventory and plan key production activities to ensure the availability of materials and resources.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. This includes the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), understanding and following safety regulations, and conducting regular safety checks.

Ideal qualifications:

• Relevant Experience: Proven experience in the assembly and/or maintenance of lightweight equipment, with a background in mechanical and production environments.
• Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver high-quality work with a strong focus on detail.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints to guide assembly and maintenance tasks.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues effectively.
• Communication: Good communication skills in both English and Danish and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Independence and Time Management: Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet production goals.
• Eligibility for security Clearance: Must be eligible for Danish security clearance.

Other qualifications, which are viewed positively:

• Relevant Training or Certification: Additional training, certification, or similar qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance are highly regarded.
• Preferred Background: Experience or background in the armed forces, particularly in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) or search roles, is considered an advantage.
• Field work assistance: An interest in helping our operations team with sporadic outdoor work, such as planned operations or other ad-hoc outdoor work (for example testing), is also viewed positively.
