The position
As PI System Engineer you will become part of an ongoing expansion project in CMC API Pilots aimed to handle the increased demand from Novo Nordisk. In this connection, data from our API facilities are essential to develop new product for our patients.Our Data Historian Platform plays a central role in making data available for reporting, batch release and manufacturing intelligence. The platform is based on the PI system technology from Aveva (formerly OSIsoft).
You will have a strong voice in the development, infrastructure, compliance and daily operations of our Data Historian Platform, to ensure and strengthen our ability to use data for product release and manufacturing intelligence. Your responsibilities summed up:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining PI system infrastructures, and troubleshoot problems in the PI system.
- System Management (e.g. configuration and Performance Monitoring).
- Working with data analysis to manage time series data, develop and analyses within the PI AF environment, and create visualizations and reports.
This position is based onsite Bagsværd/Denmark.
Qualifications
You have a higher academic or technical education within IT, Computer Science, Automation, Engineering or similar. Furthermore, you have:
- +3-5 years of experience and knowledge of OSIsoft/AVEVA PI system (PI experience from the pharma industry is seen as an advantage).
- Great passion for working with interfaces, data and technical problem-solving to optimize PI system performance.
- Strong understanding of the OSIsoft/AVEVA PI System architecture, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, PI Interfaces and Rt Reports
- Programming and integration skills/languages such as Python, Power Shell or .NET, C# and experience with AF SDK and APIs for integrating to the PI system.
- Fluency in written and spoken English (some Danish skills is seen as an advantage).

About the department
As part of Novo Nordisk PSQIT organisation, Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) Development & Scaling makes a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. We develop, manufacture and distribute drug candidates for clinical trials and have a strong culture with a “can do” mind-set.
CMC API Pilots manufacture and control new drug substance candidates for the development portfolio at Novo Nordisk. The project department is organised within CMC API Pilots, that will own and operate the new API facilities. We are a department with approx. 100 employees, who are responsible for completing the major investment project to expand our API production capacity for new pharmaceutical candidates for clinical trials in Novo Nordisk.
