Experienced UX/Service Designer for Housing Journeys Tribe

Becoming a part of the Housing Journeys tribe in Danske Bank is an opportunity to work in a non-traditional banking setup characterized by a flat hierarchy, agile development, and an overarching human-centric approach to product development.
We are looking for a candidate to join our tribe of +100 skilled colleagues, located across Denmark, Lithuania, India and the Nordics, who can help us deliver on our mission: To enable easy and confident decisions on real estate financing by providing intuitive and simple digital experiences.
About the role
We are investing in our advisor facing tool-stack, and as part of the Modernized Advisor Tool Squad, you will be working to shape the advisor workflow of the future. We are still in the early phases, so you will have plenty of opportunities to impact the solution.As we are both working with internal and external stakeholders, we are looking for someone with experience in service design, who can step in and be a leader in ensuring the user experience across the advisory process.
You will be responsible for uncovering user needs, mapping existing and designing new user journeys, facilitating decision making in a complex stakeholder network, and providing UX and design strategy. In short, someone who can lead the holistic design for our new advisor-facing tools.Beyond your daily function in the squad, you will also be part of our Design Chapter in which you will collaborate and gain feedback, learn from other designers in the team, and contribute to our overall design maturity in the tribe.
Your responsibilities :
- Define and visualise user journeys and design implications, to enable better decision making.
- Conduct user research during all stages of design and development and translate insights into actionable design strategy.
- Drive concept development and design of holistic solutions to critical business- and user needs.
- Describe and evaluate concepts through prototypes and service blueprints with both internal and external stakeholders and users.
- Balance trade-offs between user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints and document and communicate decisions to stakeholders.
- Facilitate a participatory design process with both team members and external partners, all while managing various stakeholders.
You will also contribute to the tribe’s strategic design and UX work and help grow our collective design capabilities (e.g. Improving best practices, facilitating learning sessions, participate in design reviews and mentor more junior colleagues).
Act as an advocate for the users throughout all stages of the project.As a UX Designer you will be the main responsible for ensuring a good user experience within your domain. Your biggest assets are your ability to work in a team, your strategic mindset and problem-solving skills, ability to drive research and design work in a cross-functional team, and above all, a curious mindset and will to challenge the status quo.
We expect you to have:
- A great analytical mind-set and enthusiasm for solving complex problems.
- Extensive experience in planning and facilitating a design process from initial research to implemented solution.
- A proven record of UX and service design experience with delivering effective, intuitive, and holistic solutions.
- Ability to communicate the why, what, and how on concepts and design decisions in a simple, visual way, to obtain stakeholder buy-in and ensure a good user experience.
- A diplomatic and team-first mentality while bringing positive energy to the work environment.
- Ability to take ownership and lead design work within a complex stakeholder network.
- Proficiency in Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or other design tools.
- Working proficiency (written and spoken) in English.
Professional experience in the following is beneficial :
- You have experience with working in an agile setup.
- You have experience working on complex solutions with many stakeholders and potential 3rd party vendors for e.g. enterprise solutions.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.
