Student Assistant, Digital & Project Excellence
We are looking for a Student Assistant to join us in the Digital & Project Excellence department. You will be a part of the Grant Management System (GMS) team, focusing on our SmartSimple-based GMS called NORMA. NORMA is used to receive and assess research grant applications, administer and pay out grants, and is used by both internal staff as well as a range of external users.
The Job
As a student assistant, you will work closely with your colleagues in the Digital team and co-workers across the Foundation. Your primary tasks will include:
- Providing guidance and troubleshooting to internal & external users via Zendesk and email focusing primarily on technical issues and other questions related to applications and grants
- Assisting your colleagues in the Foundation with setting up new open calls for applications, exporting reports and other day-to-day tasks
- Participating in training of new users, producing manuals, and creating training videos for internal and external users
- Participating in usability testing of the system and technical configuration of NORMA
The GMS team already comprises of 3 full-time employees and a student assistant, all with various cross-disciplinary backgrounds within IT. As a team, we strive to deliver the highest quality service while promoting a trust-based feedback culture and a fun working environment.
The working hours is approximately 15-20 hours per week in coordination with the other student in the team and with flexibility to accommodate studies and exams.
Professional Qualifications
The preferred candidate will have a keen interest in IT systems combined with a flair for providing fast, efficient, and high-quality user support for a wide range of different stakeholders.
Furthermore, we expect that you:
- Are studying a BSc within Information Studies, Business Informatics, Digital Design and Interactive Technologies or Digital Management/Information Systems at the University of Copenhagen, ITU, CBS, or similar
- Have a basic understanding of usability and user-experience design
- Previous experience with user support or help desks, e.g. in systems such as Zendesk, would be beneficial, but not a prerequisite
Personal Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate that is:
- Service minded, a strong team player and can both initiate and finish tasks independently
- Systematic and structured in their approach to problem solving
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and fluent in English and Danish (written as well as oral)
