Then this might be your opportunity! Ambu A/S is currently looking for a Distribution Team Lead to be based in Ballerup to join our growing Global Distribution team!
Key responsibilities
In the role you will be responsible for ensuring the team is reliable and efficient in delivering our products to customers by managing the daily operations at our 3PL’s in Europe
You have a knack for performing operational tasks efficiently and want to create the best possible environment for you and your 6 team members to shine. We are working on streamlining our processes so we are prepared to support Ambu’s future growth, and you will be a part of this journey to secure we offer reliable operations.
Your main responsibilities will include below:
- Daily coordination with 3PL warehouse on operations and priorities, whilst ensuring best-practice and compliance in operations
- Coordinate activities in the team to ensure everyone is aligned and we are performing at our best as a team
- Support the optimization of distribution process focusing on the operational implementation of new initiatives
- Be the first level escalation point for the team and partner for all operational issues
- Managerial responsibility for 6 team members
You will be part of the Global Distribution team of 10 people and will have the management responsibility for 6 direct reports. Together we share the responsibility for operating and optimizing our European freight and distribution centers.

Suggested candidate profile
Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you have:
- 8+ years of experience with shipping and warehousing operations
- Experience from international distribution set-ups using 3PLs
- You execute well on operational task with a systematic approach
- Excellent management and interpersonal skills
- As a person you thrive in helping others succeed
- Have a good understanding of IT and particularly ERP systems operating in a global manufacturing organization
- Knowledge from healthcare and operating in a regulated environment (an advantage, but not a prerequisite)
- Infor M3 experience is an advantage
As a person you have a natural ability to engage stakeholders, both internally and externally, and can navigate in the volatile environment caused by the growing list of global Supply Chain disruptions. You face challenges head-on, but can get others onboard, and you deliver results both individually and as a team.
About the Department
Join the Global Distribution team under Global Supply Chain in Ambu A/S, which currently consists of 25 people. You will be working in a global context, where your stakeholders are located across the world.
