The Position
As a Business Development Director, you will:
- Drive key business development and partnership initiatives in Region EUCAN (Europe & Canada) that align with Novo Nordisk's business objectives, focusing on the GLP-1 portfolio and primarily targeting online providers such as eHealth, telemedicine, and online pharmacies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on external commercial partnerships and lead operations from strategy, evaluation, negotiation, and contracting to implementation.
- Identify and support opportunities for partnerships that will enable the execution of Novo Nordisk’s commercial strategy; lead select partnership development opportunities.
- Establish and implement best practices related to the assessment and setup of new commercial partnerships, applicable globally.
- Manage implementation and organisational change related to partnerships, including guidance, governance, capabilities, and mindset to empower our commercial organisation.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (minimum Bachelor, Master is a plus) in business, business development, public health, marketing, communications, public policy or similar.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience driving commercial and non-commercial partnerships in the healthcare space (pharmaceutical industry experience preferred).
- Experience working in a global matrixed environment and successfully bringing projects and initiatives to life with cross-functional teams.
- Good commercial understanding (particularly of our GLP-1 products) including points of differentiation, pricing, market data and market potential, and overall NN value proposition to potential partner would be a plus.
- Additional experiences that are not required but an advantage: experience in innovative payer partnerships models; commercialization strategy and new go to market models; network of external contacts that can be tapped into for learnings, insights, partnerships or support.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to lead and influence in a matrixed environment and collaborate cross-functionally.
