Are you a team player with strong communication skills?If so, then you might be the new Fire Safety Consultant we are looking for in Novo Nordisk Health & Safety.
The position
In this job, you will play an important role in ensuring safe design and operation of our facilities. You will support compliance, continuous improvement, and good practice in a rapidly expanding organisation. You will work in a team of highly engaged experts, develop standards and guidance and drive improvements initiatives across Novo Nordisk’s value chain, to make sure that our working environment supports safe conditions and behaviours.
You will, in collaboration with the safety team:
- Provide standards, guidance and direct support within fire safety and ATEX
- Conduct construction and equipment project reviews to ensure safe design
- Drive collaboration and sharing across the organisation within fire safety and ATEX
You will collaborate with key stakeholders in line of business, engineering partners and other stakeholders in our value chain to ensure safety in design and operation. You will do this in close collaboration with other safety specialists in our unit.
Furthermore, you will use your experience to support other health and safety related initiatives such as support to capacity expansion projects, trainings etc.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
- Master’s degree as Fire Safety Engineer or similar.
- 2+ years of relevant experience within fire safety, preferably from a large, global company and/or from the pharmaceutical or chemical industry
- Experience in performing project design reviews
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluency in English language, written and spoken.
You are outgoing and build good relations with colleagues and stakeholders.

The job is in Novo Nordisk Health & Safety department, a unit in the global People & Organisation division, located in Bagsværd, Denmark. The department is Novo Nordisk's Centre of Excellence in the field of health and safety with around 55 dedicated colleagues.Our role is to safeguard employee safety, health, and well-being as an integrated part of how Novo Nordisk do business, by providing targeted support and easy-to-use tools and guidance.
