To be successful as a leadership trainee, we expect you to:- Have a passion for leadership and experience in leading others, for example, from work, sports, volunteering, or community life• Naturally take initiative and achieve results that benefit both the business and people• Communicate clearly and be able to write and speak professional English and Danish• Enjoy sales
- both personal and indirect sales, and be able to think outside the box to ensure the continued growth of the business• Have an analytical and results-oriented approach to tasks and an interest in KPIs and how we ensure the best customer experience through them• Additionally, it is an advantage if you have experience from the retail industry or a large organization.
A day in your life with us You will be attached to the Logistics department, and together with a competent team leader, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and learn to give and take responsibility.
At IKEA, we have a practical approach to learning, which is why most of your training takes place 'on the floor' with your colleagues in operations (80/20).Here, you will be involved in your manager's daily work, and combination with a series of training modules, you will gain insight and the skills to lead and run a million-dollar business with between 8-25 employees.
During your training, you will learn about:• Your leadership style, leading yourself and others, and IKEA's leadership philosophy• Coaching, development conversations, and difficult conversations• Theoretical and practical experience with the retail industry and various business approaches• Recruitment, budgeting, and staffing planning The leadership trainee program lasts approximately 18 months – you can read more here: www.ikea.dk/leder.

Other Information- The position is for 37+ hours per week on an individual contract.• The working hours vary depending on which department you are placed in.
- Saturday and Sunday.• You must calculate with working a lot in the operation of the department store.• Salary according to qualifications and within IKEA's salary policy.• We have various employee benefits, including Pension, health insurance, massage, canteen, staff discount, discount with business partners, annual gift, and bonus.• We wish for commencement on 01.08.25 or by agreement.
