The Position

We are looking for a person with a passion for partnering across organisational functions, performance reporting, and generating actionable insights for the organisation. The position offers the opportunity to become a trusted finance partner to the CDC (Clinical Development Centre) organisation, both at the Danish affiliate as well as in Region EUCAN (Europe & Canada).

The CDC organisation is responsible for clinical trial management, hence this position offers a great opportunity for functional and personal development, as well as insights into the development pipeline of a leading company in the pharmaceutical industry.

Your tasks will be:

  • Partnering towards the CDC organisation, including full cost and FTE management responsibility.
  • Driving business decisions by translating financial data into business insights and recommendations.
  • Managing monthly reporting, including monthly follow-ups on financial performance.
  • Proactive ownership of the resource allocation process with the CDC management team.
  • Preparing and presenting analyses and data-driven recommendations to the CDC organisation.

This is an individual contributor role with no people management responsibilities and reports directly to the Head of Business Finance & Analytics.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you will need to have the following:

  • A relevant master’s degree in finance or economics.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the pharmaceutical or clinical industry.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and coordination skills, with advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and a structured, results-driven work approach.
  • Possesses solid business understanding and strong commercial acumen, consistently supporting decision-making through in-depth analysis and data-driven recommendations.
  • Proactive and business-minded, with a drive to initiate and lead analyses and insights that add value and support business growth.
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English, and knowledge of one of the Scandinavian languages (written and spoken) will be an advantage, but not a requirement.

In addition, you have a thorough stakeholder management approach, facilitating strong cross-functional collaboration, demonstrating system expertise, driving sharp analyses, and the ability to influence stakeholders will be your keys to success in this position.

About the Department

The finance team, Business Finance & Analysis, is part of the Finance and Operations department in Novo Nordisk Denmark & Iceland, based in Ørestaden, Copenhagen. The finance team is supporting the Danish and Icelandic sales affiliates and the CDC organisation with finance partnering, incl.

budgeting and sales and cost performance reporting. The department consists of an international and diverse group of highly dedicated professionals. The team is characterised by a lot of energy, collaboration, and trust. The team is ambitious, and the pace is high, but the tone is informal, and there is a fun and good-spirited atmosphere in the department.
