Do you want to be a part of pioneering quantum computing in a world-class quantum ecosystem in the heart of Copenhagen? Quantum Foundry Copenhagen is a newly founded company, owned by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF), aimed at developing next generation Quantum Computing Processor technologies.
Our mission is to establish a foundry capable of manufacturing quantum processor units (QPUs) employing novel methods to meet the extreme requirements for purity and precision needed to bring Quantum Computing to scale.
About us
Our company is part of a vibrant and growing Danish quantum ecosystem, and we collaborate closely with world-leading researchers at Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP www.nqcp.ku.dk) based at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen.The NQCP programme is designed to facilitate and drive research and innovations at multiple levels – from developing quantum processor technologies to solutions for the quantum-classical control and readout interface, and all the way to quantum algorithms and applications.
In close collaboration with NQCP and international partners, we aim to pioneer chip-based fabrication and packaging methods for state-of-the-art quantum processors.
Join our team
We are looking for a Financial Controller and Procurement Officer who will manage our financial reporting processes as well as ensure a professional purchasing flow.
The successful candidate will be an instrumental part in the next evolution of our company by ensuring the timely establishment of new foundry facilities and capabilities, as well as ensuring up-time on existing infrastructure.
Your main responsibilities and tasks will include:
Work in close collaboration with our Financial Services/Accounting Department to:
- Ensure bills are approved, paid, and accounted correctly
- Prepare monthly financial reporting and other ad hoc reports for management
Establish and run an internal process for procurement including:
- Determination of technical specifications of new tools and equipment
- Negotiation of price and other terms with vendors
- Tracking and communication of delivery status and timelines
- Securing on-site receipt and payment of vendors
Updating and maintaining inventory of spares and consumables
Professional and Personal Qualifications:
You have a strong foundational understanding of financials and excel at bridging technical specifications from engineers and technicians with offerings from vendors. You are proactive and continually improve internal processes to ensure momentum.
Your qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher within procurement, business administration, financial controlling, or related
- Experience from a similar role (either in industry, academia or government) with responsibility for procurement and/or financial controlling
- A structured, analytical and detail-oriented approach to your work
- Ability to build relationships with colleagues from various disciplines and vendors
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
